He was a Taiwanese banker and leader of billionaire clan. Koo graduated from the Soochow University in Taipei with a BA and from the New York University with a MBA. He was a founder and chairman of Chinatrust Jeffrey Koo, one of Taiwan’s largest financial services businesses. He served as a Taiwan's representative on the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation's Business Advisory Council and was also ambassador of Taiwan. Koo died after battling Parkinson's disease for years on Decembeer 6, 2012 in New York.
