He was an American businessman and politician. Marcotte graduated from the Aquinas High School and then from the Saint John's University in 1951. Throughout his political career he served as a Representative for Kentucky House of Representatives and as a chair for Boone County Republican Party. During his professional career he worked as a Executive Vice-President of Ohio Valley AFM Incorporated, Executive Vice-President of Convenient Fadmant Incorporated, Director of Communications of IGA International Headquarters, Vice-President of Gateway Foods and as a Seargent of United States Army. He died on December 4, 2012 in Kentucky.
