He was a modern classical composer a teacher. Kiesewetter wrote more then 1000 reviews (mainly about old music). During his teaching career Kiesewetter taught music theory, aural training and music morphology at the Munich University and also taught at the Richard-Strauss Conservatory in Munich. He died on December 4, 2012.
