Philip Douglas Frank Somerville was an English milliner – partly trained in Auckland – who had a salon in London. He is known particularly for hats worn by the Queen – with whom he held a Royal Warrant – and Diana, Princess of Wales. He also created memorable headgear worn by two James Bond villainesses.
