He was the Roman Catholic and Indian Archbishop. Madtha was known as a Papal envoy of the Ivory Coast. He also served as an apostolic nunciatures in Ghana, El Salvador, Georgia, Albania and Taiwan. He graduated from the St. Aloysius High School and Nagur university where earned Master degree. Madtha was killed in a road accident when his car collided with another vehicle.
