Major General Deane–Drummond was an officer of the Royal Signals in the British Army. He was born on June 23, 1917 as a son of Colonel J.D. Deane-Drummond. He educated at the Marlborough College and graduated from the Royal Military Academy. He married Evangeline Boyd in 1944 and they had together four daughters Shirley, Angela, Anne and Celia. Deane–Drummond died at the Alveston Leys Nursing Home in Warwickshire.
