He was a Colombian journalist, writer and filmmaker. Ernesto was known as a writer and editor of the newspaper El Heraldo. Ernesto started his career in newspaper El Heraldo as a reporter of crime stories for his home town. He also directed three films: El último Carnaval, Champeta Paradise and Siniestro. Ernesto during his career earned many award for his work. He died after a long battle with cancer.
