James was born in Marietta,Ohio ..February, 1913. An extremely talented and gifted artist and commercial illustrator in the 1930's. He went on to become a leading man in Hollywood from 1942-1960 under his stage name JAMES WARREN. Jim maintained his interest in Art and commanded many one man shows sponsored by his patron, Vincent Price. His work appearing in many private collections including that of Katherine Hepburn. Jim was illustrator for Disney, American Greeting Cards, Mobil Oil, Colliers Magazine and Saturday Evening Post. After a successful career in Hollywood, spanning 25+ films he retired to Maui, Hawaii where he continued to paint and quietly passed away into the Hawaiian sunset... Aloha Jim.
