He was an American singer and record producer who became a best famous at 60´s with the success of his song "The Birds and the Bees". He started his career in 50´s when he joined to form Jewel & Eddie. Later he joined to group called The Feathers. Akens passed away on March 1, 2013 from complications of back surgery.
