Rauch was an American legendary soap opera producer. His professional career lasted over the 50 years. He was nominated eight times of Emmy award and he won twice in 1976 for Another World and in 2001 for Run With The Fields. He worked as a vice president of programming for CBS, as a supervising producer for Procter & Gamble and later as an executive producer of Guiding Light. Rauch married Israela Margalit and he had two children and two stepchildren.
