Raymond H Eisenhardt (1927-1994) *67

Raymond H Eisenhardt Raymond was my father and a very good indeed. Raised in Ridgewood NJ, his father was almost akin to Walt Disney in interests, love of books and the CChristmas season. He developed a rich love of history from that and over time amassed a huge collection of military medals and a very fine collection of firearms. Married Joanne French Johnson in 1950 - both attended Bard College and moved first to Teaneck NJ and, later, Ridgewood from 1957 to 1973. After that he moved to Saddle River NJ and retired to Vernon NJ. Chairman of Raymond Eisenhardt & Son, an international packaging consulting firm based in Oakland NJ. As a the next heir apparent, not to be - I described Raymond Eisenhardt as the lead, my father as the son and me is the period after the INC. A summer home in Kent, CT was a wonderland and he produced a few family films there. Ray had a great sense of humor and mixed a mean drink. He also loved the West and spent many summers at the Rimrock Dude Ranch in Cody, Wyoming with 30 mile pack trips into the mountains. I did some of those too. The firm began to contract in 1985 due to the advent of the computer and he retired out in 1987, the firm disolving in 1990. Childhood friend was Walter C. Crocco. My father passed in June of 1994 and is buried way out west in Cody, Wyoming next to my mother who passed in 1998. Of course I miss him very much and the firm he ran for many years.
