He was a professional ice hockey goaltender.Aubry played goal for the Nordiques and Cincinnati Stingers of the World Hockey Association from 1972 to 1977. He later served as a goalie coach for the Nordiques in the late 1980s, and as a scout for the Los Angeles Kings in the 1990s. He played in 142 games in the WHA, but never played in the NHL. In 1977 the Nordiques won the WHA championship. Richard Brodeur was the star goalkeeper, but Aubry did appear in the final series, making relief appearances in games 4 and 6 of the Final.
