Katherine was my great grandma. She was born Katarzyna Maksymczuk in Poland. She married Michael Laska, had two sons, came to East Chicago, IN, and had 7 more children... including my grandmother. I met her. She only spoke polish to me. I respect both of my grandparents for making the step to immigrate to the US. God Bless Grandma. Rest in peace and know that you are not forgotten.
