My beloved nephew Eugene, who was called out of this world Christmas Day 1975 .

In Salisa, Colorado where he worked in the mines to support his family.

He is with Jesus. He is buried at Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado.

Eugene was a wonderful kind and loving person.

He suffered much in life. Yet he also was very blessed.

Eugene

'S parents divorced. He was raised by his stepfather and maternal grandparents.

We were 40 days apart in age, so we grew up together. I have many happy memories of Gene.

He was no doubt the best friend I ever had.

We were close in that there was never a harsh word between us. We simply got along.

He had the most beautiful laugh I ever heard in any human being. And I know many people.

No one laughed like Gene did.

He liked the song Hello MaryLou. I think because he once had a girlfriend by that name.

But he met the girl who would be the mother of his two sons.

And one of those sons recently went to join him in Heaven.

He also liked Roberta Flack's Killing Me Softly and he read Kahlil Gibran.

In Gospel music he liked Dear God ... I think sung by Patsy Cline.

He was one of the best persons I had the joy and privilege of knowing.

No he wasn't perfect..... but he was a sweet and loving person... who somehow... one day took the wrong road.

But God came to his rescue and took him home to be with him.

His death broke my heart and it will stay broken until I see him again when Jesus comes again.

Eugene is not here but I still am.... and I pray for his children and grandchildren.
