I was deeply shocked to hear about Teri's death. We dated in high school. We met up again when we were in our early twenties. I was teaching an introductory psychology class at a local college. Teri and her older sister both enrolled. We started to see each other. My career was all I could manage at the time and we went separate ways. Since I was 17, I have always loved Teri. I have always kept her in my heart. In many ways, I regret having put my professional life first. I had such a connection with Teri. I believe she felt similarly as we kept our interest in one another. I am so deeply saddened. However, I am happy she ultimately found lasting love. How blessed her husband must have felt.
Teri, wherever you are, just know how loved you were. You are indeed the loveliest, sweetest, and most cherished person I have ever known.
