Anna Stretton is my Great Grand Mother. And was therefore know through the family as "Nana". Her name was Anna Mary Locke,.. James,.. Stretton.. Born 1893-1996.
She is buried in the cemetery in Rye NH near the church were the Locke family reunions had been held. There is a fmaily plot Parkhurst right next to her. She was staying with her daughter until the care became to difficult. I was only able to go to one with her to one Locke reunion. She had actually choked on her food and someone sitting behind her helped her,.. I was young then. But I am honored to have loved this woman (she would come stay with us in Ohio and different places we had lived) and her daughter Margret James Parkhurst,(married to Ernest Parkhurst) my grandmother and her daughter, Sandra Lee Parkhurst Stroud Gerrish. All have passed away. And Nana is the name I carry today with my grandchildern. Nana is a decendent of Joesph Locke,.. James Lockes youngest son.
