He was a popular film directors of the Philippines. Castillo started his career as a writer. After graduation college he wrote and directed his first movie - Misyong Mapanganib. Throughout his career he directed more then 60 different genres of films (horror, drama, action, suspense, comedy, fantasy, and erotica).
