My Dad was Grover Ebersole. He was in the Navy and he was honerly discharged with diabetes. When he came home he became a DC police office. He even rode a motorcycle for awhile but my Mom didn't like it so he got a police car.He also married my Mom when he came home. When he was younger I have found memories of going to the beach with him and going fishing. Then he got sicker and retired from the police force. He got a desk job at Giant food warehouse working the security booth for the 18 wheelers that would bring delivery's.He would inspect the trucks to make sure they were legitimate delivery's. When he got older he kept to his self and never really talked to us anymore.He was depressed over his diabetes. He stayed married to my Mom and worked even while he was sick to keep food on the table. He did the best that he could for us. Most men would have left after having six kids but he didn't. He was a real man. I didn't get close to him until a few years before his death. I would buy him a brand new recliner on his birthday every year. He loved that. He was very strict when we were growing up. He did hit us when we were bad. I miss him. He was my hero because he took care of us and never abandoned us. He was my Dad no matter what. I love you Daddy. RIP
