He was known American economist who won the Nobel Prize (1986, The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences)for his development of the contractual and constitutional bases for the theory of economic and political decision-making. Buchanan also write several books, his best-known book was The Calculus of Consent. Passed away on January 9, 2013 at LewisGale Hospital at Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia.
