He was an American diplomat who served as a Coordinator on the Political-Military Action Team, in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, U.S. Department of State, in Washington, DC, and has served as a consultant on African and international affairs. Nigro was better known as the United States Ambassador to Chad. He was also the author of the book, The New Diplomacy in Italy: American Propaganda and U.S.-Italian Relations. Passed away on January 1, 2013 of cancer.
