He was a Czech football defender. Drobný played two matches behind the A-team of the Czech Republic, at club level he played in Bohemians Prague, Augsburg, Germany, English Aston Villa, Strasbourg and France. In the season 2008/2009 he played briefly in Spartak Trnava in Slovakia. He married a Namibian model Ndeshi Panda Nangolo and they had together one son Sebastian. Drobný died in an unfortunate accident on holiday in Spindleruv Mlyn when he crashed into a tree while riding a sleigh.
