It was truly a blessing knowing Terry back in 1986, when my mother was dying and died from cancer. He knew something was wrong. He finally asked me, "What's your problem?" "The last few times I've seen you you've been acting all funny towards me." "You don't even want to hang out with me anymore." "What's up with you?" At first I would only tell him that it really had nothing to do with anything he had done. But, he wouldn't accept that. So I can out and told him my mom was dying. His attitude totally changed. His first words after learning the true reason behind my becoming so despondent were, "Oooh...". Immediately after that came an even longer, "Oooooh...". He was the kindest/most supportive person I had during that terrible time. The most painful part of our friendship was we lost contact with each other around 1997. I actually didn't learn of his death until late 2009, (via the Internet). I will always miss him!
