This was my Mom. She died too young. She contracted pancreatic cancerwhen I was 8 years old. She survived the operations to remove the cancer and was written up in medical books as one of the first survivers of her cancer treatment. She persevered for 10 year with daily shots of medication. I have always seen her as the most stoic person I have ever known. I was 18 when it happened. I'm 55 today and still when I think about her my eyes tear my throat closes and I get such a empty feeling in my heart. I don't think this will ever go away. Her memory lives inside me forever. I miss her terribly. I would have liked to have conversations with her as I learned what it was like to become a responsible adult. She lived her life in a way that taught me that I could handle anything that came my way. She touched the lives of so many people. I can only hope to achieve what she did in her short life. I write this because people should know what a great person she was.
