Clara was my mother. She died at her own hand. Shot herself in the heart with a service revolver. The Dr. called it severe melancholia, what we know today as clinical depression. She was married to my dad Donald J. Battisfore and had 6 children. The oldest was 8 and the youngest 9 months at the time of her death. They lived in Marquette MI. All the children are still alive at this writing but living away from the area. Clara is buried in a Marquette cemetary but I am not sure which one. They were Catholic, and I don't believe the church forbid them to use the catholic cemetary. If my memory is correct, that is probably where she is. Our family moved downstate shortly after her death and we did not return to the grave or to visit the area again. If you'd like to contact family let me know! dragb88@hotmail. com
