Michael passed away at 2:05pm on August 10, 1998 at Los Gatos Community Hospital from adeno carcinoma of the lung (a rare form of non-smoker's lung cancer). He lived in San Jose's Silver Creek Valley with his wife, Tamra. He worked as Manager of Sales Operations for Xerox of Silicon Valley. Michael loved traveling, attending concerts and plays, wine tasting, and spending time with his many friends. He was a very organized man, both at work and home. In his early life Michael had a passion for snow skiing and riding motorcycles, and he worked his way through college first as a bar tender and then a sous chef. His best impression was of Humphry Bogart, but he also did a convincing Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Although Michael was color-blind he paid special attention to his wardrobe and was usually impeccably matched from socks to tie. I will always remember the wonderful road trips we took together, and I will miss Michael. May he rest in peace.
