Mildred was my grandmother. She was born on a farm and lived on a farm. She did many things as far as working in her life from factory work, to being a LPN. My grandmother had COPD and was recoverying from its effects in Florida the winter she passed. She made it back to her farm in April of that year and passed away that night. It was sad as it was only days away from a local gathering in the area the Shepherd Maple Syrup festival where many family and friends would gather at her farm to visit. Also sad was that I was just married the year before she had spoked on the phone with my wife but never met her in person. She had known we were going to Michigan in June of that year about 5-6 weeks after grandma passed away. Unfortunately she didn't live long enough to meet my wife. The hospital in Florida thought he was better and I had always thought grandma would make it to 90. Mildred loved her family. She is both remembered and missed
