Stanley Czarnecki July 29, 1995 Stanley P. Czarnecki, of the Mercy Health Care Center, Sheatown, Newport Township, formerly of East Green Street, Nanticoke, died Saturday at Mercy Health Care Center Born Nov. 10, 1911, in Sugar Notch, he was the son of the late Julius [nee Julian Jan Antoniowicz Chernetski] and Alexanderia [nee Aleksjondria Alicja Antoniowicza Andrulewicza] Czarnecki of Sugar Notch. He attended Sugar Notch schools, was a lifelong resident of Nanticoke and a member of St. Stanislaus Church, West Church Street, Nanticoke. Prior to his retirement in 1972, he worked as a coal miner for the Susquehanna Coal Co. He and his wife, the former Theresa Makarczyk, were married for more than 60 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Irene Gavrish [nee Irene Teresa Czarnecki], in 1993; brothers, John, Edward, Bernard, Joseph and Anthony; sisters, Alice [Dombroski; nee Alexandria Alice Czarniecki], Celia [nee Cecelia R. Czarnecki] Guhanick, Regina Czarnecki. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two grandchildren [, a grandson and a granddaughter]; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a. m. Tuesday from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a. m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
