I worked for "Vinny" at Uncas Mfg, and Raven Mfg. in the early 70's. Vin Neri taught me more about how to treat employees, and how to be humble, than any person in my life. In 1975, when my brother was in a serious accident (and later died), I called Vinny from the hospital and asked him if he would let my fellow workers know that my brother needed fresh blood. Within an hour, a dozen employees arrived and donated. Vinny had told them that if they wanted to come and donate, he would pay them the lost time, ans since it was a Saturday, it was time and a half. I never forgot that gesture, and I never forgot the many lessons, and the time that Vin Neri gave me. Time and lessons that made me a better person in many ways. I am forever in his debt, and I think of him, his incredibly warm and cheerful, caring wife, Penny, and my days in his employ at Raven Mfg., often......
