Justo Ytuarte was my great uncle and a man adored by his family and friends. Justo and his wife Gloria had been married November 22, 1943 and the two stayed married and very much in love until her death in 1997. Justo was one of five brothers and had a sister Delores. He stayed close to his family, remaining in New York unil his retirement in 1985. He moved to Colorodo to be near his niece, Karen Colquitt, and later moved to Tampa, Florida where he lived until 2002. He relocated to Lewisville, Texas where he lived until passing of conjestive heart failure in early 2005.

Justo may not have been blessed with children of his own, but never has a man's love and devotion to his family reached further. He was adored by his niece and nephew, Karen and Joseph Medvesky. Karen's four children could not imagine life without their "Uncle Jucko". He adored us, doted on us, and was always there for us. Near the end, I was fortunate enough to really experience Justo's wisdom and insight, as the two of us became very close in the years before his death. I am very proud to state that it was I who took Justo to his last Mass and watched as he received what would be his final communion.

Justo was a Knight of Columbus and worked most of his life as a foreman for Etco Wiring Co., although as a young man he worked on the Brooklyn waterfront as a dockhand. He is missed and remembered fondly with laughter and love. He is buried alongside his wife, Gloria Paladino Yturarte and his nephew, Joseph Medvesky, at McCurley Cemetery in Lewisville, Texas.
