Andrew was my grandfather. He lived at 2431 Bristow as long as I can remember. He had three biological children. Two with his wife Opal who died of breast cancer in Jan 1984. A third w a woman he met in Japan during WWII. Story is that he lied about his age to join the army. Later he was caught selling cigarrettes on the black market in Japan and breaking curfew and was discharged w a reduction in rank. We have never met his biological son. He also had a step son. He was buried at Jefferson Barracks in Missouri in the same plot as his wife. He was diagnosed late in life w a benign brain tumor and struggled greatly w recovering from surgery. A few yrs later he was diagnosed w skin cancer and had part of his nose removed a rebuilt w skin and cartilage from his ear. Not long after that he was diagnosed w/ lung cancer. He was given 6 months to live and died a yr later. I also have some great pics of him and a memorial video we made that we could contribute.
