Biography
David Ian Olive He was one of the pre-eminent a British theoretical physicist and physicist CBE FRS. Olive was also commander of the Most Excellent Order of the Britiish Empire, Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales and Fellow of the Royal Society. He was known as a professor of physics at Imperial College in London. During his professional career, was twice awarded: the Dirac Prize and Medal of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics. He married Jenny and they have daughters Katie and Rosalind. Olive died in Cambridge.
