This was my grandfather and he was always known as Harold. My grandfather fought in World War II and parachuted into Holland in September of 1944. This was obvious during the Markent Garden campaign. I have a copy of his DD214. My grandfather was a member of the 101st C Company. I don't know what regiment he was in. My grandfather was shot in the leg by a German mauser after he had been in Holland 8 days. He was very proud have served in World War II and we were all very proud of him. I miss him terribly. He was always nice to me and acted as a father when my mother and father got divorced. RIP
