Biography
Jacques Bral was a French film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was also a painter. After his studies at Alborz High School in Tehran, Bral left Iran in 19966 for France. From 1966 to 1968, he studied architecture at Beaux-Arts de Paris and codirected the short film Quand tout le monde est parti with Julien Lévi and Jean-Paul Leca. He then directed feature films M-88 in 1970 and Frisou in 1973, both in black and white. In 1975, he directed Une baleine qui avait mal aux dents, which starred Francis Blanche and Bernadette Lafont.
