Mahesh and Corvid were partners in life for over 13 yrs. They both owned Galittoire Guest House. The USA did not acknowledge Sam sex relationships.
Mahesh Massand and I, Corvid LeBray met in Calgary, Alberta and started our 13 + year relationship on October 13, 1981. We moved to Vancouver, BC for some time before our move to Long Beach, California where we lived near the beach and enjoyed our 2 shih Tzu dogs, Sir Bradley and Lady Daphnie. 1990 brought new beginnings with moving first to Anacortes, WA, then to Langley, WA where I located, set up and opened "Galittoire", a Contemporary Guesthouse. I operated the business and manicured the grounds, baked bread, made homemade jam and greeted the many guests from all over the world. I was always making plans to develope the 10-3/4acres of our land. Mahesh was a batterer and took control over my life for some time. Mahesh would not allow me to have my name on the deed to the house, was isolated in many ways and even though I paid cash for my Toyota Tercel, Mahesh would not allow my name to be on my own vehicle. Mahesh and I were a gaycouple for over 13 years, I left broken and broke back to Canada, due to our relationship not being recognized in the USA. Today I send Mahesh thoughts of love... in my letting go! I miss the Massand family, especially Raina... who always called me her favorite Uncle.
