Richard Bryars Richard Thomas Bryars died on June 11, 1981 in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida of a heart attack and subsequently fell into the water and drowned. He was bborn on Oct. 14th, 1937 to Lloyd Thomas Bryars (deceased 1977) and Cecile Chaisson Bryars (Deceased Feb 1998). Brother of Delbert Bryars, Lloyd Thomas Bryars, Jimmie Jerome Bryars, Shirley Bryars and Jeannine Bryars Phelps. Nancy Bryars (wife), Patricia Bryars. Children David Wayne Bryars, Christine Bryars, and Bonnie Bryars, and Lori DiPascal. Stepchildren David DiPascal, Michael DiPascal and Dawn DiPascal. He was 43 years old. Employee of Texaco Company, he drove trucks for a living and worked on the levee near Barataria. An avid hunter and fisherman he spent a lot of time in Westwego. He loved taking his children hunting and fishing and taught them how to skin a fish for some good eating. He also hunted deer and had venison for supper often. He was in the Air Force and Navy and had a tattoo of a anchor on his arm. He also got his black belt in karate and loved to play volleyball.
