There is no possible way for me to express the feelings I had for my shadrack. We met when I was 16 and he had recently moved from CA to be with more family members. Somehow he found it in his heart to make me his family. Years would go by without any contact but one day driving home from class my phone rang and it was him. My best friend was back! From that moment on we were hardly ever apart! Just friendsInd you! Things began to change when he took a job inow Wilmington nc with some friends of ours. The thought of being away from him was killing me and we realized our relationship had changed from platonic to romantic. As I was still in school we would alternate weekends to visit and all was goimg well…or so I thought. I had come to find out that one weekend that I was at home he had a mild heartache. As a group we decided that coming back to Greensboro would be the best option. He stayed with my family most of the time until his last hospital stay. After leaving there he was placed into a hospice home where I believe he lost his will. All I wanted was to marry my best friend and now I only want one more minute with him.
