Hi Angelique, Thanks for your message. I was visiting Sysoon to correct the date of my mother's death. I rarely visit the site. I saw your message from December 19, 2013. Love to your family. Tell your Dad and Mom hi. I sent him on his email several years ago about my new address and telephone. I will send a facebook message.

Helen was born on the Island of Cyprus on November 3, 1919 in the village of Pano Lefkara, Cyprus. She was a teacher at the American Academy in Larnaca, Cyprus. Helen met my father, Michael K. Vavlitis and married him on July 20, 1947. My dad, a WWII veteran of the American Army in the Pacific Theatre, returned to Cyprus looking for a war bride. They came to the United States to New York City where I was subsequently born. Helen was a 'saint' who never hurt anyone. Great Mom! She died in Port St. Lucie, Florida on January 13, 2010.
