Puppies I will never forget you. I still remember you like it was yesterday. All the training for all those triathlons we did was so fun; and we would come in 2nd and 3rd, which was even more amazing. I hate that you had to go so young.

It was a long time ago, but I seem to recall that Aldo has two sisters: Nancy Beata, Diana Beata, and a brother Named: Rigoberto Beata. They all lived in Inwood in Manhattan. Somewhere near Dykman St.

One of my closest friends. We attended Stony Brook in the early 80s. Did many triathalons and training runs in New York in the middle to late 80s. We were so close that for a time we talked by phone almost every night. On weekends I would visit him at his apartment in Larchmont NY and train for races. Edward was a tall, thin, athletic, very intelligent fellow that loved sports; he was also extremely good at mathematics and majored in computer science and math in college, which was fine with me as I was pursing a PhD in math. He was a bit of an eccentric and a loner and very methodical in his approach to things, but at times and for short periods he would derail from his ways.

Paul S Hinkle was a good friend. He was instrumental in giving me a sense of direction after graduating from HS in New York City. Although I was nearly 20 years younger than he was we still had much in common. We even took a trip across the country by train starting in New York and finishing in San Francisco. Paul was intellectual.

A good buddy of mine. We attended George Washington HS in Manhattan NYC. He was an introspective intelligent handsome tall athletic guy of Central American extraction who never quite fit in his surroundings but went about his business creating no trouble for the rest. He found a kindred spirit in me. I went off to college circa 1979 to Stony Brook after spending 2 years out of H.S. in NYC. We would see each other in Manhattan often and take long walks. He would visit my place regularly and he became a friend of my roommate Paul Hinkle. When I left for college I lost track of him since Paul Hinkle moved to Texas, and upon graduating learned, from whom I took to be his sister, via a phone call to his number that he had committed suicide by jumping from the roof of his apartment building in Manhattan after slicing his arteries. In retrospect it all makes sense and in my analysis unjust social norms and expectations were the cause.
