Family, relatives and friends

Family and relatives are two essential components in our life. A family is typically made of our relatives, either by blood or legal means (marriage or adoption). The difference between family and relatives is that family refers to a group of relatives that typically lives together whereas relatives refer to people who are related to us by blood or legal means. In general parlance, family typically refers to the parents and children living together whereas relatives refer to the members of the extended family including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

As one of the oldest of "grans" great-grand kids, there's not a day that goes by when i don't think of her. she was basically a 2nd mother to my two sisters and i. she taught us to always keep god first in our lives. to always honor our mom and dad,to respect and love each other for we are all we have. forgiving, and so much more. so many memories. she was big on family and when my mom and our little family moved to seattle to help take care of her, she only wanted to stay with my mom. she was also my moms 2nd mother. as me and my siblings grew older she was right there raising us,teaching us the rights from the wrongs and most importantly how to love. she always was strong hearted and strong willed. as she got older and she could hardly walk,we would wake up in the middle of the night to her crawling to her room and when we would try to help her,she would shush us and says "eh i can do it myself".. and she was such a humble woman, the type that would give the shirt off her back to those who needs it.. always a giving person. gosh its going on 7yrs since she passed and to us, it hurts every year on the anniversary of her death and her birthday the most. she got see the first of several of her great great grandkids.. i could never forget the day she passed,it was so surreal to me,when my mom came into my room and says come see gran, and i looked at the clock it was like 9 or so in the morning,i was like shoot,we usually wake up during the middle of the night to see if she needed anything but that nigh/day we slept in.. i go to her and she just looked like she was sleeping, all peaceful and i turned to my mom,who had tears in her eyes and right there i knew in my heart and soul, our granny has left us.. i rushed into the room and got on my knees and i prayed and prayed "please god not now".. but then a feeling came over me like i was being held and i looked up and smiled and i knew that it was granny comforting me,letting me know it was o. k.. as yrs passed we've gone through our ups and downs and i've gone through some issues of my own.. i just wanted to post something about the most amazing superwoman in my life.. we think bout you always granny... we love and miss you.. me my sisters and mom will always keep your memory alive through your great great grandkids.. your wisdom, teachings and love for us all will live on.. i cant wait for the day we are all reunited.. i love you to no end.. miss you today ,tomorrow, and always mrs. fa'ava fataivao tuisalama'a leui.... love always fale jr...
