I knew Francoise as Francine. She was born in Germany, married an American soldier and eventually moved to the United States. My mother was her massage therapist. Francine loved to sing and had a beautiful soprano voice. Although she had to take the bus to get around, she didn't let it stop her from getting out and doing many things. She came to our home many times. She had a good sense of humor and a love of life even when her circumstances were dismal. I miss her thoughtful friendship!
